Dharahara Tower is a historical monument located in the center of Kathmandu, Nepal. It was originally built in 1832 by the Prime Minister of Nepal, Bhimsen Thapa, and was known as Bhimsen Tower.
The tower was destroyed in the 2015 earthquake that hit Nepal, but it has since been rebuilt and opened to the public in 2021. The new tower stands at a height of 22 stories, which is slightly shorter than the original tower's 23 stories.
The tower is a popular tourist attraction in Kathmandu, offering stunning views of the city from its observation deck. Visitors can climb to the top of the tower via an elevator, and there are also exhibits and displays inside the tower showcasing its history and significance.
